King Philippe and Queen Mathilde make official visit to Oman

This week, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are undertaking a tour in the Middle East, their first stop being Oman. The royal couple arrived in the Sultanate of Oman on Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were welcomed by Sultan Oman Haitham bin Tarik and the Honorable Lady Ahad bint Abdullah at the Al Alam Palace.

King Philippe then had a meeting with the Sultan while Queen Mathilde had a meeting with the Honorable Lady.

On Thursday afternoon, the royal couple visited the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, the most important and largest mosque in Oman.

On Friday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the port of Duqm where they learned more about a green hydrogen production site co-developed by the Belgian company DEME Group.

Afterward, the couple discovered the facilities of the port by boat. Port of Antwerp and DEME Group are 50% involved in the development and operation of the port.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde then took part in a traditional Omani lunch in the Rock Garden before departing the country and flying to Abu Dhabi to start the second part of their tour in the Middle East.

On Wednesday, Queen Mathilde wore a new Johanna Ortiz dress with orange accessories, a Christine Bekaert cuff, and her Rolex watch.

On Thursday, Queen Mathilde wore her Natan printed dress with Dior clutch & shoes, a Fabienne Delvigne hat, and her Rolex watch.

She then changed into her Anita Dongre gown with metallic pumps, a Giorgio Armani clutch, her Rolex watch, and Percossi Papi earrings.

On Friday, Queen Mathilde wore a Natan printed outfit with burgundy Natan clutch & shoes, her Rolex watch, and her Longchamp sunglasses.
