Crown Princess Mary opens European Grief Conference

On Thursday, Crown Princess Mary officially opened the European Grief Conference in Copenhagen with a recorded speech, as Patron of the Danish National Center for Grief.

In her speech, which you can watch in full here, Crown Princess Mary said: “The personal and societal cost of living with grief knows no borders. We know that grief expresses itself in many shapes and forms and that the needs of bereaved people are very individual and culturally sensitive. However, by creating a common platform where experts, practitioners, and researchers from Europe and beyond can come together, we gain important insights to better understand and support bereaved people and their individual needs.”
