The Princess of Wales launches Business Taskforce for Early Childhood

On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales launched her new Business Taskforce for Early Childhood at NatWest's headquarters in the City of London.

The taskforce will help steer how the wider business community can build a supportive and nurturing world around children and those who care for them. This inaugural meeting was attended by representatives from NatWest, Unilever, Aviva, Deloitte, IKEA, Co-op, The LEGO Group, and Iceland.

In her speech, the Princess of Wales said: “I know businesses are feeling the pressure across the board. However, I truly believe that by investing in early childhood, with a specific focus on social and emotional development, businesses in turn will see in the future… better communication, better working relationships, improved resilience, employees finding better work–life balance, less stress, more patience and understanding, and increased job satisfaction. Not only that, but the societal impact we could have, if we work together on this, could transform lives for generations to come. As the saying goes, it really does take a village.”

The Princess of Wales wore an Alexander McQueen jacket (with thanks to Bojana) with a white top, black trousers, and her Anderson’s belt. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Asprey earrings.
