Swedish Royal Family starts Golden Jubilee celebrations
On Wednesday, the Swedish Royal Family attended several events marking the start of this week’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia first hosted a reception for several organizations at the Royal Palace.
In the afternoon, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Madeleine attended the unveiling of the Government’s and Parliament’s gift to King Carl Gustaf at the Royal Palace.
The gift is an eight-square-meter tapestry that will hang in the Royal Palace’s western staircase. The fabric is made after a watercolor by the artist Lars Lerin titled Stone in water.
Afterward, the family attended a ceremony outside the palace as the Court’s staff presented their gift to the King. They have collected funds to be able to erect two of the King's monograms at the gates to Logården.
Queen Silvia wore her Valentino jacket with a pink skirt and her Sole Bliss accessories. She also wore her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Prada coat with her By Malina dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Abro clutch. She paired the outfit with her Kreuger earrings and her Epoch watch.
Princess Sofia wore an Andiata coat with her By Malina outfit and her Stinaa.J pumps.
Princess Madeleine wore a Saloni dress with grey pumps, her Angel Jackson clutch, and her W.A. Bolin earrings.
