French State Visit to Sweden - Day 2
On Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron spent their second day in Sweden.
President Macron, King Carl Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria, and Prince Daniel first attended the Accelerating Europe's Competitiveness business seminar at Stockholm’s City Hall.
Following the seminar, President Macron bade farewell to the Crown Princess Couple as the rest of the State Visit events were scheduled to take place outside Stockholm.
King Carl Gustaf and President Macron then joined Queen Silvia and Brigitte Macron at the airport as they flew to Skåne for the remaining events of the day.
In Lund, King Carl Gustaf and President Macron visited the European collaborative project European Spallation Source (ESS) and Alfa Laval. Meanwhile, in Malmö, Queen Silvia and Brigitte Macron visited Barnahus to hear more about their work with children who are suspected of being exposed to crime.
Afterward, Queen Silvia and the First Lady visited the Friends Foundation for a presentation of its work to counter bullying.
To conclude the last day of the State Visit, the Royal Couple and the Presidential Couple visited Studentafton at Lund University where the Presidential Couple hosted a reception to thank the Royal Couple for their hospitality.
Following the reception, a farewell ceremony took place at Malmö Airport where King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia bade farewell to President Macron and his wife.
Queen Silvia wore a repeated suit with her Tory Burch bag and her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Andiata suit with her Marzio ankle boots and her Chanel clutch. She also wore repeated jewelry and an Hermes scarf.
