King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attend meetings and Diplomatic Reception
On Friday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia first met with Dag Blanck, director of the Swedish Institute for North American Studies. During the meeting, the Royal Couple was briefed on the upcoming presidential election in the US.
Afterward, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia met with Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, Director General of the Swedish Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Agency, who presented them the new “If the Crisis or the War Comes” brochure. The brochure will be delivered to all Swedish homes throughout the next month. The brochure contains advice on how the country's residents should prepare for a crisis. The Royal Couple also saw an example of a crisis box that all households should prepare.
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia then hosted a Diplomatic Reception for ambassadors from Rwanda, Morocco, Slovakia, Qatar, Bulgaria, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. A few times per year, newly appointed ambassadors are given the opportunity to meet members of the Royal Family at a reception where they can also meet each other and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Queen Silvia wore her Georg et Arend white cropped jacket and matching skirt with a printed top. She also wore her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
