Swedish Royal Family pays tribute to victims of the 2004 tsunami

On Thursday, the Swedish Royal Family paid tribute to the victims of the tsunami that hit Southeast Asia in 2004.

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a national memorial service which was organized at their initiative in Uppsala Cathedral. Families and loved ones of victims were in attendance as well as members of the Government and the Riksdag. During the service, the Royal Couple lit candles in memory of the victims of the tsunami.

Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, and their children visited the national memorial in Royal Djurgården in Stockholm where they laid a flower wreath to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the tragedy. The Memorial honors the approximately 225,000 people who died, 543 of whom were Swedes.

Queen Silvia wore a black outfit with a black hat and her usual stack of bracelets.

Crown Princess Victoria wore an Andiata coat with Marzio boots.

Princess Estelle wore her Mango coat with her Zadig et Voltaire boots.

Prince Oscar wore his Reiss coat with his Blundstone boots.
