Queen Letizia marks International Day of Persons with Disabilities
On Tuesday, Queen Letizia marked International Day of Persons with Disabilities at the State Reference Centre for Personal Autonomy and Technical Aids in Madrid. The event also marked the end of the campaign to promote awareness of universal accessibility in the business sector, organised by the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030.
In her speech, Queen Letizia said: “What we have seen here today is genuine strategic thinking. We have witnessed how this physical, cognitive and sensorial space that we all share should be received, which is why I am very grateful for your presence. Because understanding what it means for accessibility to be an essential requirement to guarantee the autonomy and inclusion of people with disabilities has a profound democratic value in itself. The demands, the proposals, and also the good practices on how to improve universal accessibility and the work environment have been made very clear.”
Queen Letizia wore her Carolina Herrera coat with a Hugo Boss petrol blue suit. She paired the outfit with her Massimo Dutti heeled loafers. She also wore Boira Glass earrings (with thanks to Vanitatis) and her Coreterno ring.
