Finnish State Visit to Sweden - Day 1

On Tuesday, the President and the First Lady of Finland started a two-day State Visit to Sweden. Alexander Stubb and Suzanne Innes-Stubb were first officially welcomed by King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia at the Royal Castle.

The King and the President then hosted a joint press conference at the Royal Castle.

Afterward, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted an official lunch for the President and First Lady. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Sofia also attended.

In the afternoon, King Carl Gustaf, President Stubb, and the Crown Princess Couple attended a business seminar focusing on cooperation between the countries in, among other things, defense innovation, energy, telecom, and AI.

In the meantime, Queen Silvia and Ms. Innes-Stubb visited the Bernadotte Library where royal documents related to Sweden and Finland were on display.

Afterward, they visited Sven-Harry's art museum to see the Nordic landscape art of Carl Fredrik Hill and Finnish artist Fanny Churberg from the 1800s.

Queen Silvia and Ms. Innes-Stubb also visited Sätraskolan which, together with the organization Mentor Sweden, works to promote physical activity for students.

In the evening, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted a gala dinner for the French Presidential Couple. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, as well as Princess Christina and her husband also attended.

Queen Silvia first wore a Georg et Arend coat and dress with Brunate pumps and a Natan clutch. She repeated the hat she first wore to Prince Oscar’s christening in 2016. She also wore her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.

Crown Princess Victoria wore her Pär Engsheden dress with her Jimmy Choo pumps, her Epoch watch, and a Tim Mårtensson headband. While attending the business seminar, Crown Princess Victoria wore her Andiata coat over her outfit with her LK Bennett clutch and her Handsome Stockholm gloves.

Princess Sofia wore an Andiata dress with her Versace pumps and Bigli Jewels earrings.


In the evening, Queen Silvia wore her Georg et Arend gown with her Cartier bracelet and the Nine Prong tiara.

Princess Sofia wore her Oscar de la Renta gown with her Diane von Furstenberg clutch. She paired the outfit with her wedding tiara featuring new London Blue topaz gemstones. She also wore her Rare Jewelry earrings, her Ole Lynggaard bracelet, and a LWL Jewelry ring matching her tiara.
