European Royals attend Paris 2024 Olympic Games - Day 10
On Monday, several members of European Royal Families attended the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia arrived in Paris where they will spend the week. They first greeted swimmer Sarah Sjöström to congratulate her on her two gold medals.
Afterward, the Royal Couple went to the Stade de France to watch the athletics events. During the evening, pole vaulter Armand Duplantis won the gold medal and set a new world record.
Princess Catharina-Amalia first attended the Jumping Individual Qualifier event at the Chateau de Versailles.
Afterward, she was joined by King Felipe as she attended the men’s Basketball 3x3 final between the Netherlands and France.
Meanwhile, Princess Benedikte joined King Frederik at the Badminton final where Danish player Viktor Axelsen won gold.
The Duchess of Edinburgh attended the Women’s Team Sprint Track Cycling final which saw the British team win the gold medal and set a new world record.
The Duchess of Edinburgh also attended a tea meeting hosted by the British Ambassador to France in honor of the British triathlon teams.
