Norwegian Crown Prince Couple's official visit to Trøndelag County - Day 1

On Tuesday, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit started their three-day visit to Trøndelag County. They first visited Selbu where an official welcome ceremony took place at Selbu’s secondary school.

Afterward, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited Selbu cultural school where they were given a tour by students from the studio and media technology group.

The Crown Prince Couple also visited Årsøya leisure park where they learned more about the activities offered to the residents before learning more about Selbu's traditions and cultural heritage during lunch.

In the afternoon, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit went to Malvik where they first visited the Øya sports complex. They watch a friendly match between Hommelvik Guts and Hommelvik Old Stars to mark the Hommelvik II’s team’s 100th anniversary.

They also visited Hommelvik’s youth center where they met young people and helped serve an Arabic meal to young people and staff at the youth center.


Crown Princess Mette-Marit first wore her Ulla Johnson jacket over her Pia Tjelta dress and her Aigle boots. She also wore her Paula scarf and her Cartier ring. She later changed into her Gianvito Rossi ankle boots.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit then wore her Patagonia jacket with her Amundsen trousers, her New Balance sneakers, and her Paula scarf.
