King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia mark Holocaust Remembrance Day
On Monday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a memorial ceremony, arranged by the Forum for Living History, on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp.
The ceremony featured speeches by Livia Fränkel, a Holocaust survivor, and government ministers Gunnar Strömmer and Netta Frister Aaron, children of Holocaust survivors. Recorded testimonies by survivors Wicia Mutto, Dina, and Jovan Rajs were shown in connection with the ceremony.
Queen Silvia wore her Georg et Arend outfit with black accessories.
