Queen Sofia attends Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development award ceremony

On Monday, Queen Sofia attended the Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development award ceremony in Madrid. The Prize is promoted by the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) to recognize initiatives that contribute to social progress and global sustainability.

Queen Sofia is the European representative on the Award Committee and she presented the awards to the recipients. This year, the Prize has focused on the theme of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas, and marine resources.
