King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia celebrate 100th anniversary of the Sigtuna School of Humanities
On Saturday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Sigtuna School of Humanities. As a Crown Prince, the King was a boarding student at the school for many years.
In his speech, King Carl Gustaf said: “I still have a warm feeling in my chest when I think about my time in Sigtuna. Here I could move freely in nature, roam around Lake Mälaren, and explore the city in the company of my friends. I hope that those of you who are here today, as well as future students, will experience the wings of history and feel the same community and joy that I did then.”
Queen Silvia wore her Maknam jacket with purple trousers and her Cartier and Engelbert bracelets.
