The Duchess of Edinburgh takes part in ANZAC Day commemorations
On Friday, the Duchess of Edinburgh took part in ANZAC Day commemorations in London. ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance for Australia and New Zealand as it marks the Gallipoli landings of 25th April 1915, and honors all Australians and New Zealanders who have given their lives for their countries.
The Duchess of Edinburgh first attended the Dawn Service at Hyde Park Corner.
Afterward, the Duchess of Edinburgh laid a wreath on behalf of the King at the Cenotaph in Whitehall.
The Duchess of Edinburgh then attended the ANZAC Day Service which is held annually at Westminster Abbey in London.
