Regal Review: Prince Albert's Accession Mass & Garden Party

On July 12th, 2005, following a three-month mourning period after the death of Prince Rainier III, the Monégasque Princely Family attended a pontifical mass marking the accession of Prince Albert to the throne.

The mass was attended by Prince Albert’s sisters, Princess Caroline and Princess Stéphanie, as well as his nephews and nieces.

Afterward, Prince Albert was presented with two keys of the city to mark his investiture as Sovereign Prince of Monaco during a Garden Party held at the Palace.

The day concluded with a fireworks show held at the waterfront.

Princess Caroline first wore a Chanel Haute Couture coat with Christian Louboutin pumps and a large black hat.

In the evening, Princess Caroline wore a white top with a Valentino skirt.

Princess Stéphanie first wore a Morgan outfit with a Morgan bag.

In the evening, Princess Stéphanie wore a white suit with the same Morgan bag as earlier in the day.

Charlotte Casiraghi first wore a Chanel outfit with black pumps and a Chanel bag.

In the evening, Charlotte Casiraghi wore an Alberta Ferretti teal dress with a Chanel bag. She also wore Pomellato earrings.
