On Thursday, Queen Mathilde hosted a meeting with representatives of several organizations involved in the 2026 Global Appeal to Eradicate Stigma and Discrimination Against Leprosy. The appeal brings together people affected by leprosy, researchers, policymakers, health professionals, and civil society actors to reaffirm a common commitment to dignity, solidarity, and the end of stigmatization of those suffering from the disease.
