King Carl Gustaf's 80th Birthday Celebrations - Day 1

On Wednesday, foreign royal guests arrived in Stockholm ahead of King Carl Gustaf’s 80th birthday celebrations. The Royal Couple of Thailand was welcomed at the airport by Crown Princess Victoria.

In the afternoon, King Carl Gustaf was presented with a gift by the Royal Household staff with his family in attendance. He was given a specially ordered coffee service decorated with the King and Queen's joint monogram.

Later in the day, Princess Estelle also surprised her grandfather with a present. She gifted him with a joint trip to her Duchy of Östergotland.

In the evening, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted an informal dinner for the foreign royal guests who were already in Stockholm. King Harald and Queen Sonja were in attendance.

King Frederik and Queen Mary also arrived in Stockholm in the evening as they were seen boarding the Royal Ship Dannebrog.

Queen Silvia first wore her Weill skirt suit with a white shirt and her Brunate pumps as well as bracelets by Cartier and Engelbert Stockholm.

Queen Silvia wore her Thalia jacket with white trousers and her Chanel flats.

Princess Estelle wore a blue dress previously worn by her mother.

Crown Princess Victoria wore a Safiyaa dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Prada clutch. She also wore her Ebba Brahe earrings. When welcoming the Royal Couple of Thailand, she also wore her Andiata coat.

Princess Madeleine wore her Jonathan Simkhai dress with her Manolo Blahnik pumps and her Bogner clutch. She paired the outfit with her Cartier bracelet and her Ebba Brahe ring.

For the informal dinner, Queen Sonja wore her Apostrophe top.

When arriving on the Dannebrog, Queen Mary wore her Greta jacket with her Bagutta shirt and ecru trousers. She paired the outfit with her Chanel flats and her Ralph Lauren bag. She also wore her Cartier watch and her Rebekka Notkin bracelet.
