Crown Princess Victoria visits University of Gothenburg

On Thursday, Crown Princess Victoria visited the University of Gothenburg to celebrate the creation of the Crown Princess Victoria's professorship in biodiversity ahead of her 50th birthday next year.

Crown Princess Victoria took part in a roundtable discussion on Innovative Policy Instruments for Biodiversity.  In her remarks, Crown Princess Victoria said: “To have a professorship in biodiversity in my name feels incredibly honorable. […] Even as a child, I was fascinated by how different species are connected to the surrounding environment. As I got older, I also understood how vulnerable nature is and how bad things could get if we reach the tipping point when negative developments can no longer be stopped.”

Afterward, Crown Princess Victoria visited the Tjärnö Marine Laboratory, the University’s research station, before taking part in an excursion to Kosterhavet National Park.

Crown Princess Victoria wore an Andiata blazer with a Newhouse top and jeans. She paired the outfit with her Adidas sneakers and her Longchamp bag. Later in the day, she also wore her Tretorn rain jacket.
