Throwback Thursday: 2017 Danish visit to Sweden

Next week, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will be in Denmark with a Swedish business delegation and they will be hosted by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. In May 2017, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary led a Danish business delegation on an official visit to Sweden where they were hosted by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Let’s take a look back at what Victoria and Mary wore during the 2017 visit.

On May 28, 2017, the evening before the official start of the visit, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel had dinner with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary aboard the Dannebrog.

Victoria wore her Baum und Pferdgarten blouse while Mary wore a new dress by MARCH11.

The next day, both couples had a packed schedule including several conferences and seminars on the theme Livable Scandinavia as well as visiting Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen’s new store and Norrsken House and opening an architectural exhibition.

The Crown Prince couple and the Crown Princess couple attended an official dinner in the evening.

Crown Princess Victoria championned Scandinavian designers as she wore a Baum und Pferdgarten suit with a printed blouse from the same brand. She also wore Rizzo red pumps and a matching Rizzo clutch. She paid a nod to Scandinavia even more by wearing Dulong jewels and new Caroline Svedbom earrings.

In the evening, she wore her Jennifer Blom printed top and pleated skirt with a Bottega Veneta blue clutch and her Gianvito Rossi nude pumps. Her new earrings were by Caroline Svedbom.

Crown Princess Mary debuted a new Max Mara white suit which she paired with her favorite Gianvito Rossi python pumps and Naledi Copenhagen clutch. She also wore a leaf brooch by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

In the evening, she wore her Dolce & Gabbana lace dress with Gianvito Rossi metallic pumps, a LIN8 blue clutch, Dulong earrings and her Cartier Love bracelet.

On the second and last day of the visit, both couples visited the Danish Embassy and they were joined by King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Prince Carl-Philip and Princess Sofia for lunch at Stockholm’s Royal Palace.

Other events on the program included visits to Spotify, Karolinska University, Gamla Riksarkivet and Stockholm's Water and Waste Management.

The visit concluded with an official dinner in the evening at Stadshuset.

For the day’s events, Victoria wore a pink Daisy Grace top with bows on the sleeves and a Camilla Thulin black printed midi skirt. She paired this outfit with her Stella McCartney black pumps and a neutral suede clutch. Her new earrings were by Caroline Svedbom.

In the evening, she wore her MaxJenny! printed dress with her Anya Hindmarch gold clutch and Dior pumps.

Mary wore a new printed dress by Saks Potts with her trusty Prada coat. She matched her yellow belt with her yellow Gianvito Rossi pumps and she carried her Quidam black clutch as well as Cartier and Dulong bracelets.

For the dinner, she wore a new Altuzarra printed maxi dress with her Gianvito Rossi black mesh pumps and her Sergio Rossi black sequin clutch.

At the lunch at the Palace, Princess Sofia wore a new Dry Lake printed dress with nude Stinaa.J Elsa pumps.
