The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend the 2020 BAFTAs
Tonight, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the 2020 BAFTAs at the Royal Albert Hall. The Duke of Cambridge is President of the Academy since 2010 and the couple has attended the ceremony every year since 2016.
During the ceremony, Prince William presented the Fellowship award to Kathleen Kennedy. He used this opportunity to address the lack of diversity in the Academy and in the nominations as well. Big winners of the night include 1917 and Bombshell.
As the organization asked guests to wear outfits that were either repeats, vintage or from a sustainable designer, Kate wore a bespoke Alexander McQueen gown first seen in Malaysia on the Couple’s 2012 tour of Southeast Asia. The gown is made of diaphanous cream chiffon, and is sprinkled with gold embroidered Hibiscus flowers. Tonight she debuted a new Van Cleef and Arpels Magic Alhambra Set which perfectly complimented the gold details on the gown. the Duchess of Cambridge finished the look with a glitter clutch from Anya Hindmarch and Glitter Romy 100 Pumps from Jimmy Choo.
