Regal Review: 2010 Dutch State Visit to Norway
June’s Regal Review series will be very busy and we’re starting by taking a look back at what Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Martha Louise wore ten years ago when Princess Beatrix (who was still Queen of the Netherlands at the time) made a two days state visit to Norway.
On June 1st, 2010, Princess Beatrix was officially welcomed by King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit in Oslo.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a white Andrew Gn skirt embroidered skirt suit and belt with Christian Louboutin pumps and a Prada black clutch.
In the evening, King Harald and Queen Sonja hosted a gala dinner at the Royal Palace with Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Martha Louise and Princess Astrid in attendance.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a pink Nina Skarra short sleeve gown with her Kotur silver clutch and Jimmy Choo nude pumps.
Princess Martha Louise wore the blue and orange striped gown she first wore at Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary’s wedding in 2004.
On the second day, the government hosted an official lunch at Akershus Castle before the King and the two queens meet representatives of Norwegian and Dutch business.
Crown Princess Mette Marit wore a white belted Carolina Herrera dress with a Kotur snakeskin clutch and grey patent leather Gianvito Rossi sandals.
In the evening, Princess Beatrix hosted a reception at Oslo’s Opera for the Royal Family.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a gown by Norwegian designer Iselin Engan with a matching Valentino clutch and Valentino sandals.
Princess Martha Louise wore a sleeveless printed gown with Emporio Armani black pumps.
