King Felipe and Queen Letizia visit Tarragona

Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia continued their tour of Spain by visiting the autonomous community of Catalonia. While the visit to the community was supposed to include events in Barcelona, the program had to be shortened because of a rise in cases of COVID-19 in Catalonia.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia still visited the Monastery of Santa María de Poblet in Tarragona as the event wouldn’t draw crowds.

The royal couple visited the exhibition hall,  the cellar, the cloister, the kitchen, the refectory, the library, the old bedrooms, the church, and the Royal Pantheon.

In the Gothic rooms, King Felipe and Queen Letizia had the opportunity to see some of the Tarradelas Archive before holding a meeting with the monks of the Monastery.

Queen Letizia wore her blue Pedro del Hierro shirt dress with her Macarena ivory wedges and Karen Hallam gold ring.
