Regal Review: Princess Charlotte of Cambridge's Christening

Five years ago, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge was christened at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. The Queen, Prince Philip, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as the Middleton family, were in attendance.

Princess Charlotte’s godparents are Adam Middleton, The Hon. Laura Fellowes, James Meade, Sophie Carter, and Thomas van Straubenzee. Princess Charlotte wore a hand-made replica of the royal christening robe by Angela Kelly. It was first used in 2008 for the christening of James, the son of the Earl and Countess of Wessex, and had also been used for the christening of Prince George.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore an Alexander McQueen ivory open neck coat with Russell & Bromley nude pumps. She paired the outfit with a Jane Taylor hat, Mappin & Webb earrings, and Mappin & Webb necklace.

Prince George wore a Rachel Riley white and red smocked set with Start-rite navy leather shoes.

Stay tuned for more Regal Review posts this week as we continue looking back at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s first royal tour as well as another royal christening and a state visit.
