King Felipe and Queen Letizia present FPdGi School of the Year 2020 Award in Tui

Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the Mestra Clara Torres Rural School in Tui as the school won the Princess of Girona Foundation’s School of the Year 2020 Award for being an example of dynamization in rural environments.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia first toured the gardens to see the seedling and cooking workshops.

Inside the school, they visited the school’s small radio studio and the drawing workshop and attended a sign language class.

The royal couple then went back to the garden where they met who took part in the first edition of "Teacher Generation" throughout the 2020/2021 academic year. “Teacher Generation” is a teacher training and professional development program that focuses on internships in the field of rural schools in Galicia, Aragon, and Extremadura.

In another part of the school, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the yoga workshop, the workshop for the construction of instruments with recycled material, and the robotics workshop.

The couple ended their visit in the assembly hall as they presented the School of the Year 2020 Award to the school.

Queen Letizia wore her Hugo Boss pantsuit with a pink top and her Hugo Boss pink pumps. She paired the outfit with her gold bamboo earrings and her Karen Hallam gold ring.
