King Felipe, Queen Letizia and their children visit Mérida

Tonight, King Felipe and Queen Letizia continued of Spain by visiting the autonomous community of Extremadura. For the first time, the royal couple was joined by their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia.

Upon their arrival in Mérida, the capital city of the autonomous community, the family greeted the crowds waiting for them and posed for the photographers.

King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofia then visited the National Museum of Roman Art.

The family then walked to the Roman Theater where they watched a performance of the play "Antígona" by David Gaitán as part of the 66th edition of the Merida Theater Festival. After the performance, they met with the director and the actors and actresses backstage.

Queen Letizia wore her Poète black printed top and skirt with her Macarena wedges and Adolfo Dominguez bag. She also wore her Karen Hallam ring.

Princess Leonor wore a Zara floral dress with pink espadrilles by Sarah World.

Infanta Sofia wore her Zara white textured dress with her Pretty Ballerinas gold flats.


On 23 July 2020, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia were pictured leaving their hotel in Mérida.

Queen Letizia wore a black top and black Hugo Boss trousers with her Zara waistcoat. She carried her Adolfo Dominguez bag and she wore her Chanel earrings and Karen Hallam ring.

Princess Leonor wore a Mango black embroidered dress with her Carolina Herrera sneakers.

Infanta Sofia wore her Massimo Dutti top with navy trousers and her Hugo Boss sneakers.
