Queen Maxima takes part in virtual EU Sustainable Investment Summit

On Thursday, Queen Maxima took part in the virtual EU Sustainable Investment Summit in her role as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.

In her speech, which you can read in its entirety here, Queen Maxima said: “If people, SMEs and households do not have the right financial tools and have financial health, they will not be able to make the investments in sustainability we are all hoping for. All of us have a stake in these efforts. Policymakers, innovators, providers, international organizations and civil society — each one of us has a role to play to ensure that finance is inclusive; to ensure that it provides the required tools and means to create a more resilient and sustainable future for everyone.”
