Queen Maxima visits India as UNSGSA - Day 1

On Monday, Queen Maxima started a two-day visit to India as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) and Honorary Patron of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI). India will take over the G20 presidency next December.

Queen Maxima held meetings with the President of India Droupadi Murmu and the Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss financial inclusion and digital economy.

Queen Maxima also met with several experts as well as the G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, and representatives from India’s G20 GPFI Presidency.

She also had a virtual meeting with the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India Shaktikanta Das.

Queen Maxima wore her Altuzarra dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps, her Sophie Habsburg clutch, her Bodes en Bode earrings, and hr Marianna Goulandris bracelet.
