Queen Letizia spends last day in Paraguay
Today, Queen Letizia spent her last day in Paraguay as she ended her cooperation trip to the country.
Queen Letizia first visited the Bañado Sur Family Care Center, a center dedicated to the prevention, care, and dignity of women and girls victims of sexual violence and trafficking, located in one of the territories of the poverty belt of Asuncion.
Afterward, Queen Letizia visited the "Juan de Salazar" Cultural Center of Spain which uses culture as a tool for development. Queen Letizia learned more about the role of the center and watched a performance of the folk dance group "Alas Abiertas" made up of children and young people with special abilities.
Queen Letizia then toured the Entrepreneur Training Center which trains more than 240 vulnerable young people between 19 and 27 years old in rural and peri-urban areas with a focus on women and people with disabilities.
Queen Letizia was then welcomed by the President and First Lady of Paraguay for a working lunch at the Presidential Palace. The First Lady gifted Queen Letizia a dress made by Paraguayan designer Gaba Esquivel and made from the city of Yataiti by master craftsmen who embroider a textile technique called "Ao Po'i".
As her trip ended, Queen Letizia officially departed Paraguay after being accompanied to the airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay.
Queen Letizia wore a white shirt with khaki trousers, her Panama Jack boots, and her Karen Hallam ring.
