King Felipe and Queen Letizia host lunch for the President and First Lady of Paraguay

On Thursday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted an official lunch for the President and First Lady of Paraguay at the Royal Palace in Madrid.

The President of Paraguay and the First Lady are currently on an official visit to Spain and the President attended a meeting with King Felipe before the lunch. The Royal Couple and the Presidential Couple welcomed guests before the lunch.

In his speech during the lunch, King Felipe said: ”The complex situation to which these last two years of the pandemic have led us has, however, been an opportunity to reaffirm Spain's solidarity with Ibero-America and, particularly, with Paraguay. This commitment materialized in the donation of vaccines that allowed Paraguay to give a boost to its National Vaccination Plan; which was added to the support of more than 30 years of Spanish Cooperation accompanying the efforts of the country, especially to make effective the right to water and sanitation that represent half of our cooperation program.”

Queen Letizia wore a Carolina Herrera dress with her Magrit pumps and her Karen Hallam ring.
