Princess Catharina-Amalia is introduced to the Council of State

Today, Princess Catharina-Amalia was introduced to the Council of State as she now has the right to a seat following her 18th birthday yesterday.

Her father King Willem-Alexander introduced her in his role as Chairman of the Council during an extraordinary meeting. Queen Maxima was also in attendance.

In her speech, Princess Catharina-Amalia “repeated with conviction” the words of her grandmother Princess Beatrix in 1956: 'For a very long time, members of the Council of State, I will regard myself as your student. I will try – conscious of my responsibility – to be a good student'.

Afterward, Princess Catharina-Amalia planted a tree in the French garden of Kneuterdijk Palace to mark her introduction.

Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a navy Natan coat with a printed dress by LaDress and navy pumps.

Queen Maxima wore wore her Valentino cape with a new Natan dress, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and a Natan clutch.
