Royal Recap: March 15 - March 21

Welcome to this week’s Royal Recap where we’ll take a look at the events we weren’t able to cover fully this week!

On Tuesday, Queen Mathilde attended a digital meeting with Professor Bruno Humbeeck on the impact of the coronavirus crisis on children's and adolescent mental health.

Queen Mathilde wore her pink Giorgio Armani printed blazer.

On Wednesday, Queen Mathilde attended meetings with Filippo Grandi, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and with the managers of three mental health platforms: Walloon Region's Mental Health Reference Center, Brussels Mental Health Platform, and the ′′ Steunpunt Geestelijke Gezondheid ′′. Queen Mathilde discussed the impact of the pandemic on millions of refugees, including immunization issues, education and domestic violence, and actions to address refugees' mental health needs.

Queen Mathilde wore a Giorgio Armani blazer from the Spring 2014 collection.

On Thursday, Queen Mathilde attended a virtual meeting with a French and Dutch primary school class to take part in a budget management game. The game is a playful way to teach children how to manage a budget and solve everyday financial issues.

On Wednesday, Queen Silvia, Prince Carl-Philip, and Princess Sofia attended a digital meeting about children and young people's vulnerability online. During the meeting, the new research overview Exposed on the Internet was presented.

On Wednesday, the World Childhood Foundation shared a video message from Princess Madeleine thanking those who supported the Foundation’s new project using AI to stop child abuse.

Princess Madeleine wore a white Zara shirt with tweed trims.

On Thursday, King Carl-Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, and Prince Daniel attended a digital meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister Ann Linde to learn more about the Swedish Presidency of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

The same day, Queen Silvia and Princess Sofia attended a digital meeting with children's rights organizations. During the meeting, the participants shared their experiences and insights regarding the consequences of the pandemic for children and young people.

On Thursday, Crown Princess Mette-Marit sent a digital greeting to the Pilgrim Conference to thank everyone who works to take care of the old pilgrimage routes.
