Queen Maxima visits the International Theater Amsterdam
Today, Queen Maxima visited the International Theater Amsterdam to hear about how the pandemic impacted them and how they adapted in order to still be able to reach their audience during this difficult time.
During her visit, Queen Maxima spoke with the theater’s management and heard about how they had to develop their own streaming channel earlier than planned. Since October 2020, performances are streamed on ITALive which allows the theater to also attract an international audience as English and French subtitles are available.
Queen Maxima also attended part of a rehearsal for the new production 'The Hours'. 'The hours' takes place on one day in the lives of three women, at three different moments in the twentieth century. The try-outs of this performance on April 16, 17 and 18 are part of the pilot Testing for Access, which can be accessed by the public with a negative COVID-19 test.
Queen Maxima spoke on stage with the director and actors of 'The Hours' and with representatives of WijOokjr, which is is a performance by fifty young girls from Amsterdam that deals with emancipation, roots, dreams, and that NOW is the moment, about the try-outs and ITALive.
Queen Maxima wore her Natan blue floral dress with a red clutch and her red Gianvito Rossi pumps. Outside, she wore her red Natan coat.
