Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia were in Valencia to present the 2020 “Miguel de Cervantes” Prize for Literature in the Spanish Language to poet Francisco Brines.

Francisco Brines was awarded the Prize for “his poetic work that goes from the carnal and the purely human to the metaphysical, the spiritual, towards an aspiration of beauty and immortality. He is the intimate poet of the generation of the 50s who has delved the most into the experience of the individual human being in the face of memory, the passage of time and vital exaltation.“ King Felipe and Queen Letizia met with him and his niece at their home after the award ceremony.

Queen Letizia wore her Zara matching asymmetric long top and trousers with her Carolina Herrera nude slingback pumps and her orange Angel Schlesser clutch. She also wore her gold bamboo earrings and gold Karen Hallam ring.
