Queen Maxima visits Smit & Zoon in Weesp

Today, Queen Maxima visited Smit & Zoon in Weesp. Smit & Zoon is a seventh-generation family business specializing in leather processing products and celebrates its 200th anniversary this year.

During her visit, Queen Maxima was introduced to the history of the company before learning more about the company’s efforts to make leather production more sustainable. Smit & Zoon is aiming to create an environmentally friendly and socially sustainable production chain by 2025, in collaboration with stakeholders.

Queen Maxima also toured the laboratory and the factory hall where employees explained how leather is made and how the required products are manufactured.

Queen Maxima wore a Natan houndstooth outfit with Gianvito Rossi pumps and a Natan clutch. She also wore new earrings, her Dinh Van bracelet, and her Fabienne Delvigne hat.
