The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's official visit to Scotland - Day 3

Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent their third joint day in Scotland undertaking engagements in Fife, St Andrews, and Edinburgh.

In the morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in Fife where they met with Fife Young Carers which is a group that supports young carers by helping them through residential trips, workshops, and outdoor activities. The couple took part in land yachting and William beat Catherine in a race.

Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went to St Andrews University which is where they met 20 years ago. They joined geography and art students to learn more about the “Can Do” scheme. The scheme was established by the University and the Students’ Association during the pandemic to address the mental health challenges students face during that time.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also planted the first tree of the St Andrews’ Forest. The Forest is part of the University’s plan to go carbon neutral before 2035.

The couple then traveled to Fife to meet with local fishermen from Pittenweem Fishermen’s Mutual Association to hear about the challenges the fishing industry faced during the pandemic.

In the evening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were back at the Holyroodhouse Palace in Edinburgh where they hosted a drive-in screening of the movie Cruella for NHS staff. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are joint Patrons of NHS Charities Together.

In her speech, the Duchess of Cambridge said: “We wanted to thank you for the extraordinary dedication, commitment, and personal sacrifice you have shown in supporting our communities through this pandemic. Over the last year or so, William and I have spoken to many NHS workers and have heard first-hand what it has been like to be on the front line fighting COVID; supporting those suffering from the disease as well as their families.”

For the morning events, the Duchess of Cambridge wore her navy Barbour jacket over a new jumper by Campbell’s of Beauly (with thanks to Bojana) and her Brora blouse. She wore jeans and her See by Chloé boots as well as her Orelia London earrings.

In the afternoon, she changed into a new Holland Cooper blazer (with thanks to Lady_Coventry), a new Erdem jumper (with thanks to Middleton Maven) and black trousers. She paired the outfit with new Veja trainers (with thanks to Christine), her Freya Rose earrings and Spells of Love necklace.

In the evening, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a new Holland Cooper trench coat over a metallic skirt that could be by Joseph. She paired the outfit with her Manolo Blahnik BB green velvet pumps and new earrings on loan from The Queen. The earrings are part of the Queen's Dubai Looped Sapphire Demi-Parure.
