The Duchess of Cambridge visits Natural History Museum

Today, the Duchess of Cambridge - as Patron - visited the Natural History Museum’s new Urban Nature Project that will be launched later this year.

The Urban Nature Project aims to transform the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Garden into an urban biodiversity hub in order to inspire the next generation to care for nature. It will feature outdoor galleries and exhibitions to help children learn more about wildlife and nature.

During her visit, the Duchess of Cambridge heard about the Museum’s plans and fixed an acoustic monitoring device to a cherry tree in the Wildlife Garden. It will record ambient sound to help the Museum investigate patterns of animal activity within the garden.

The Duchess of Cambridge also joined school children who were taking part in nature activities. The Duchess shared honey that she bought from her own beehive in Norfolk and they made spiders and took part in interactive storytelling activities.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a new Chloé pink blazer over her Ralph Lauren top and & Other Stories jeans. She paired the outfit with her Veja sneakers, her Orelia London earrings as well as her Spells of Love and Daniella Draper necklaces. She also wore an Amaia face mask.
