The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's official visit to Scotland - Day 4
Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent their fourth and last joint day in Scotland undertaking engagements in Edinburgh.
They first visited Starbank Park where they learned more about the work of Fields in Trust to protect green spaces in the UK. Prince William is the Royal President of the charity since 2003 when the Duke of Edinburgh passed down the role to him.
Afterward, the couple went to the Edinburgh Leisure’s Craiglockhart Tennis Centre where they heard about Lawn Tennis Assocation Youth’s work to ensure children have the opportunity to play tennis. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took part in fun tennis games with school children from Edinburgh.
In the afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge met Mila and her family at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. During a phone call conversation last autumn, the Duchess of Cambridge promised Mila that they’d met one day and that she would wear a pink dress.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge then attended the Closing Ceremony of the General Assembly of the Church where Prince William made a speech as Lord High Commissioner.
To conclude their visit to Scotland, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a Beating Retreat by the Massed Pipes and Drums of the Combined Cadet Force in Scotland at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The Duchess of Cambridge first wore her Massimo Dutti green blazer with a new Jigsaw cardigan (with thanks to Emily Collins). She also wore her Superga white trainers and her Orelia London earrings. She debuted a new necklace with the initials of her children by Daniella Draper (with thanks to Chrissy). For the tennis event, she changed into her Ralph Lauren jumper.
To meet Mila, the Duchess of Cambridge kept her promise and wore a pink dress. It is by ME + EM and she paired it with a Boden belt (with thanks to Middleton Maven). She also wore her Missoma earrings and a new Amaia face mask.
For her last outfit of the tour, Catherine debuted a new blue coatdress by Catherine Walker which she paired with her Emmy ‘Rebecca’ pumps and a new Strathberry clutch. She also wore a new Kiki McDonough necklace (with thanks to Christine) and a new Amaia face mask.
