The Hereditary Grand Ducal couple first attended a remembrance ceremony at the war memorial.
Afterwards, the couple, joined by their son Prince Charles, inaugurated the inclusive “Prince Charles” playground. The playground was co-financed by the City and the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess Foundation with funds donated to mark the birth of Prince Charles.
In the evening, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie attended a Te Deum mass to celebrate National Day in Fischbach.
Today, Grand Duke Henri attended a ceremony at the national monument of Luxembourg Solidarity "Kanounenhiwwel" to mark National Day. In his speech, Grand Duke Henri paid tribute to frontline workers and hoped for a return to normal celebrations for next year’s National Day.
