Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the Island of La Palma to meet with those affected by the recent volcanic eruption.

They first visited the accommodation area for displaced people and met with those affected and the organizations that manage the seismic-volcanic crisis on the ground.

Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia went to the Cabildo de Santa Cruz de la Palma to attend a meeting with the Technical Committee of the Canary Islands Volcanic Emergency Plan (PEVOLCA) and visited the Advanced Command Post to learn more about the emergency situation.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia went to the Todoque church to meet with the mayor of Los Llanos de Aridane, Noelia García, to see the damage and effects caused by the lava in the municipality.

The royal couple then met affected people from the municipalities of El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane and expressed their sadness and solidarity.

Queen Letizia wore a green jacket, a white t-shirt with her Hugo Boss trousers, and new sneakers from 24HRS. She also wore small diamond stud earrings.
