Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attend ceremony in remembrance of the Holocaust

Today, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended a ceremony to mark the International Day of Remembrance for Holocaust Victims in Stockholm.

The memorial service was organized by the Micael Bindefeld Foundation in Memory of the Holocaust. The foundation annually awards a scholarship in order to support those who have a will to impart knowledge about the Holocaust. This year's scholarship went to Anna Florén, program manager for the Norwegian-Swedish project Voksenåsen, for her work with education and memorial trips to the Holocaust memorial sites in Norway.

In her speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “When our neighboring country was occupied, more than 80 years ago, it resonated in Sweden. Just like other major events in our world, it resonates in our country today. And if we listen carefully, if we take care of our memories, then we can hear that sound right into our time. I think that is important to do. To listen, and to try to see ourselves in others. To understand that it could have been us, it could have been you, it could have been me.”

Crown Princess Victoria wore a new Hugo Boss blazer with her Peter Pilotto top and black trousers. She paired the outfit with her Saint Laurent pumps and her Vogt Stockholm clutch. She also wore her usual stack of bracelets and her Epoch watch.
