Crown Princess Mary celebrates 60 years of UNICEF in Denmark
On Friday, Crown Princess Mary attended the event celebrating 60 years since the creation of the UNICEF World Warehouse in Copenhagen, the world's largest humanitarian warehouse.
During her visit, Crown Princess Mary helped pack boxes of school supplies for teachers and children in the focal points of the world.
In her speech, she said: “For 60 years, UNICEF has – from its warehouse here in Copenhagen – shipped supplies in support of children affected by earthquakes, floods, diseases, forced displacement, conflicts, and instability. […]Although the challenges are many and complex, UNICEF is there, providing supplies and hope for children and their families. And helping, for instance, to improve the rights of girls to share in equal opportunities and to participate equally in society.”
Crown Princess Mary wore an all-black outfit with her Alexander McQueen burgundy jacket.
