Grand Duchess Maria Teresa attends several events to mark International Women's Day
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa took part in several events on Monday and today to mark International Women’s Day.
On Monday evening, she took part in the Femina Vox 2022 event at La Sorbonne in Paris via a pre-recorded interview which you can watch below.
On Tuesday, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa first visited "Maison Sichem” which is run by the Fondation Maison de la Porte Ouverte which supports people in need.
During her visit, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa met with several women who are currently living in “Maison Sichem” and supported by the Foundation. She also met the children of the staff of “Maison Sichem”.
Afterward, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa took part in the online event "Gender equality and the pandemic" organized by the "Gender Equality Office" of the University of Luxembourg.
In her speech, she said: “The observation is the same for victims of rape in times of war as for victims of domestic violence, whether in the world or in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg: the mere recognition of their status as victims is the first step towards recovery. This is an important first step, but it is not enough”.
It was also announced by the Court that Grand Duchess Maria Teresa gave an interview to the Luxembourg Féminin magazine about her support of women’s rights and her association Stand, Speak, Rise Up!
For the Femina Vox interview, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a black outfit with her Peruffo earrings, a Peruffo ring, and a Charlotte Chesnais ring. She also wore her Max Mara trainers.
For her visit to “Maison Sichem"“, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a raspberry coat over a black outfit with an Etro scarf, a mix of Charlotte Chesnais earrings, her MdeU bracelet, and her Charlotte Chesnais ring. We believe the coat is by Maison Rabih Kayrouz.
For the online summit, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a new Carolina Herrera jacket with Charlotte Chesnais jewels and her MdeU bracelet.
For the Luxembourg Fémining Magazine interview, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore her Alexander McQueen blazer.
