Crown Princess Victoria marks the 100th anniversary of Crown Princess Margareta's Landstorm Fund

Today, Crown Princess Victoria attended a seminar marking the 100th anniversary of Crown Princess Margareta's Landstorm Fund at the Royal Palace. Crown Princess Victoria is Chair of the Fund.

The Landstorms Fund was formed in 1921, the year after the death of Crown Princess Margareta. The fund's task was to primarily support the Landstorm, ie the part of the conscription army that consisted of the older age groups and was often focused on the local defense.

In her opening speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “We are holding this seminar to draw attention to the fund's 100th anniversary. But the situation in our surrounding world sets a serious framework for our conversation and makes it highly relevant. The war in our immediate area has aroused strong and broad interest in engaging in various parts of the voluntary defense activities. In the midst of all the dark news, there is still something to rejoice over. The willingness to voluntarily engage in Sweden's preparedness is a huge asset for our country and an important foundation for the community. An inclusive community, where everyone can contribute.”

Crown Princess Victoria wore her By Malina printed dress with her Ralph Lauren pumps and her Decadent clutch. She paired the outfit with her Dulong earrings, bracelets by Dulong and Sophie by Sophie, her Epoch watch, and her Corinne hairband.
