Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee: Epsom Derby
On Saturday, Princess Anne, alongside her husband and children, attended Derby Day at Epsom Downs, as apart of an official commemoration of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The day was a fitting celebration of the Monarch’s 70 years on the throne. As a horse racing fan, owner of many thoroughbred racehorses and also The Jockey Club’s Patron, this celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Derby Day was an unforgettable showcase of the lifelong relationship between two British institutions.
The Queen was originally scheduled to attend, but had to pull out due to mobility issues. She was reported to be following along at home at Windsor ‘in her comfy clothes’ according to granddaughter, Zara Phillips.
Peter Phillips also attended with his girlfriend, Lindsay Wallace.
For the races, Zara Tindall wore a new dress from Diane von Furstenberg which she paired with a hat from Juliette Botterill. She accessorized with silver pumps from Dune London, a silver clutch from Sandro, silver earrings from Laurence Coste, and her Calleija Coronet Ring. She also carried her favorite pair of Illesteva sunglasses.
