The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit New York City on Nelson Mandela International Day
On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in New York City as the Duke of Sussex delivered a keynote speech during the UN General Assembly’s event marking Nelson Mandela International Day.
In his speech, Prince Harry said: “We're living through a pandemic that continues to ravage communities in every corner of the globe; Climate change wreaking havoc on our planet, with the most vulnerable suffering most of all; The few weaponizing lies and disinformation at the expense of the many, and from the horrific war in Ukraine to the rolling back of constitutional rights here in the United States, we are witnessing a global assault on democracy and freedom, the cores of Mandela's life."
After the UN event, the Duchess of Sussex was pictured following a lunch with Gloria Steinhem in a SoHo hotel.
In the evening, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were also spotted leaving the Locanda Verde restaurant following dinner with friends.
For the UN event, the Duchess of Sussex wore a Givenchy outfit with her Mulberry bag and her Manolo Blahnik pumps. She paired the outfit with her Vanessa Tugendhaft earrings, her Shiffon rings, and her Cartier bracelet.
For lunch, the Duchess of Sussex wore a white shirt with shorts that could be by Christian Dior and a Lauren Ralph Lauren belt (with thanks to What Meghan Wore). She paired the outfit with Manolo Blahnik pumps and a Cult Gaia clutch with the same jewels as earlier in the day.
In the evening, the Duchess of Sussex wore a Gabriela Hearst jumpsuit with Aquazzura sandals and a Bottega Veneta clutch as well as her Cartier bracelet.
