Queen Maxima's visit to California and Texas - Day 1
On Tuesday, Queen Maxima started a four-day working visit to California and Texas. She landed in San Francisco on Monday evening.
On Tuesday morning, Queen Maxima was officially received by London Breed, the Mayor of San Francisco, at City Hall.
Afterward, Queen Maxima walked through the Castro neighborhood where she met people advocating for equal rights for LGBTI+ people. She visited the GLBT Historical Society Museum, Castro Theatre, and Twin Peaks Tavern.
Queen Maxima then attended the signing of a declaration of intent between the Netherlands and California on climate and circular economy.
She also attended a meeting with CEOs from the delegation to discuss cooperation opportunities and already existing projects between the Netherlands and California.
In the afternoon, Queen Maxima visited the medical center of the University of California where she attended the ‘Digital Health’ seminar.
Queen Maxima also took part in a meeting between CEOs discussing "Economic Ties & Shared Challenges" at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
In the evening, Queen Maxima attended a networking reception at San Francisco City Hall.
In her speech, she said: “I have every confidence that together we can achieve even more. Not only in terms of economic benefits but certainly also in working toward a bright future for everyone. This visit is a tribute to our collective strength.“
For her arrival on Monday, Queen Maxima wore her Massimo Dutti suit with a black top. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps, her Bottega Veneta bag, and her Dinh Van bracelet.
On Thursday, Queen Maxima first wore her Natan dress with Gianvito Rossi pumps and an Hermes clutch. She also wore her Steltman earrings, her Dinh Van bracelet, and her Chanel sunglasses.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Claes Iversen top with olive trousers, her Gianvito Rossi sandals, and her Begum Khan clutch. She paired the outfit with her JAR earrings and her Dinh Van bracelet.
