Crown Princess Victoria is appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme
On Tuesday, International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Crown Princess Victoria was formally appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the United Nations Development Programme at the Royal Palace.
During the signing ceremony, Crown Princess Victoria said: “It is a great honor to have been named Goodwill Ambassador for UNDP. It gives me additional opportunities to support the work for the Sustainable Development Goals. I look forward to immersing myself in UNDP's work to prevent many of the difficult challenges the world faces today that affect people all over the world.”
Crown Princess Victoria previously was one of 17 Advocates for the SDGs from 2016 to 2019 and is now an Advocate Emerita for the SDGs with a focus on sustainability, the sea, and fishing.
Crown Princess Victoria’s new role will see her mobilize support for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which were established in 2015. Last year, Crown Princess Victoria joined fellow UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Crown Prince Haakon on a trip to Kenya to raise awareness for climate action and the fight to end poverty.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Zara blazer with a black outfit, her Gianvito Rossi ankle boots, and her Saint Laurent bag. She also wore Edblad earrings with her Engelbert necklace and her Epoch watch.
