Queen Maxima visits Kenya - Day 2
On Tuesday, Queen Maxima spent her second day in Kenya as part of her work as UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance. She first met with Kenya’s Environment Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya to discuss the importance of inclusive green finance in building resilience to climate shocks for Kenyans.
Queen Maxima also visited ZamZam Medical Services in Ngong where she met with Esther Muthoni Karaya, a nurse who utilized digital financing to help transform her family residence into a healthcare center with support from ZamZam.
She then visited a focus group with young entrepreneurs to discuss digital financial services at a local church and school.
Queen Maxima also took part in a roundtable meeting at Rabobank in Nairobi to discuss agricultural technology innovation for smallholder farmers.
She concluded her second day with a visit to the United Nations Development Programme to receive the UN report on Digital Financial Inclusion.
Queen Maxima wore a white shirt with her Etro skirt and her Natan sandals and clutch. She also wore her Dinh Van bracelet.
