Danish Crown Prince Couple awards 2023 Kronprinsparrets Priser in Esbjerg
On Saturday, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were in Esbjerg to attend the Kronprinsparrets Priser.
Upon their arrival in Esbjerg, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited Folkehuset Kvaglund and the Maritime Center.
Afterward, the couple visited Svend Wiig Hansen's monumental work Mennesket ved Havet before going to the Musikhuset Esbjerg where they rehearsed ahead of the award ceremony.
In the evening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary handed out the 2023 Kronprinsparrets Priser. The Crown Prince Couple's Awards were established in 2004 as the Bikuben Foundation's wedding gift to the Crown Prince Couple. The purpose of the Crown Prince Couple's Awards is to highlight and recognize the extraordinary achievements in Danish, Greenlandic, and Faroese culture and social work.
This year’s winners are fashion designer Henrik Vibskov (Culture Prize), the "Social Drive Out" initiative (Social Prize), the artistic and cross-aesthetic studio How to Kill a Dog (Star Sprinkle Culture Prize), and the "Energy for Each Other" initiative run by Esbjerg Jobcenter (Star Sprinkle Social Prize).
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited the winners earlier and the videos of these visits were shown during the ceremony. Crown Princess Mary visited the winner of the Social Prize.
Crown Princess Mary first wore her Massimo Dutti and Uniqlo coat with her Sophie Bille Brahe earrings.
For the ceremony, Crown Princess Mary wore a Rotate Birger Christensen dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Prada clutch. She paired the outfit with her Dulong earrings and her Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces.
When visiting the winner of the Social Prize, Crown Princess Mary wore her Harris Wharf London jacket with a striped shirt, jeans, and her Dulong cuff earrings.
